Verify before purchasing or installing.
SolarLab uses simplified formulas and entered assumptions. Incorrect inputs or incomplete site information can produce unsuitable results.
Bill-data extraction
Bill scanning is an assistive feature. Low image quality, bill-layout changes, OCR errors, and unusual charges can produce incorrect values. Only user-confirmed values should be used.
Electrical work
PV, battery, inverter, protection, and grid-connected systems can involve lethal voltages, high fault current, fire risk, arc flash, and utility hazards. Use appropriately qualified professionals.
Structural work
Roof and mounting visuals do not establish structural capacity, wind resistance, waterproofing, or safe access.
Installer quote review
The Quote Checker highlights missing information and basic sizing relationships. It does not certify an installer, declare a quotation fair or unfair, or replace a detailed engineering and commercial review.
Net metering
Net-metering rules, forms, credits, and utility procedures can change. Verify the current requirements with the applicable distribution utility, Department of Energy, and Energy Regulatory Commission before relying on export credits.
Financial estimates
Budgets, savings, and payback figures are planning estimates and can change with tariffs, equipment, labour, permits, tax, financing, maintenance, export limits, and system performance.
